About the idea
Concept: a joint health and safety unit (OSGB) providing safety specialists, workplace physicians and other health staff to businesses, including risk assessments, training and periodic check-ups. Revenue: monthly service contracts priced by headcount and hazard class, plus training and measurement services. Why here: textile, leather, marble and food businesses in Denizli and Uşak are legally required to have occupational health and safety services, so demand comes from a legal obligation. Licence: an OSGB needs an authorisation certificate from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. First step: confirm the authorisation and staffing requirements; collect letters of intent from 10 businesses in the industrial zones.
Risks and mitigation
Price competition, finding specialists and physicians, and inspection and penalty risk on service quality. Mitigation: concentrating in industrial zones, competing on quality and a digital tracking system.
