A 2,500-Job Target in Banaz: A Production Centre Planned with Geothermal Sources

The agriculture-based specialised organised industrial zone planned in Banaz targets year-round production with geothermal sources, with direct employment for around 2,500 people.

Uşak Governor Dr. Serdar Kartal explained the details of the agriculture-based specialised organised industrial zone planned in Banaz at the Second Joint Professional Committee Meeting of 2026, held at the Uşak Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 30 September.

In the project, Banaz's geothermal sources will be evaluated together with modern greenhouse farming and advanced agricultural technologies; year-round production is planned at the centre, with direct employment targeted for around 2,500 people.

As part of the project, Uşak Advanced Agricultural Technologies Inc. was also founded in partnership between the Uşak Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Uşak Commodity Exchange. The governor's announcement did not include a production start date or a hiring calendar.

Year-round production with geothermal heat is a striking example for the modern greenhouse and agricultural technology field growing in our region. See our Modern Greenhouse service page for details. (Source: Uşak Haber Gazetesi)
